Capturing Student Motor Skill Assessment with Everyone Moving
This session will model 6 strategies for collecting evidence of student motor skill performance while all students are participating in game-like activity, providing peer feedback and providing systems for determining levels of proficiency.
Each of these strategies will have students in an engaging game-like situation that will allow for a variety of levels, differentiate learning, and provide feedback to the learner. My examples will be for elementary students but the strategies can be useful for all grade levels. Students will be provided clear understanding of criteria for competence to self-regulate their learning, use peer feedback and solidify the nature of the evidence for teacher feedback. I will need a room that provides space for movement.
