Purposeful #PhysEd Through Backwards Design
Developing physically literate individuals is the purpose of physical education. But how can we, as physical educators, ensure that our programs are as effective as possible? The answer is by backwards designing our physical education curriculum. Join me as I share my experiences with backwards design, the steps I’ve taken to be able to implement to process in my teaching, and the resources I’ve created to help me along the way. I promise that you will leave this presentation with a strong understanding of the backwards design method as well as with clear action items that you can start implementing right away in order to bring backwards design to your own physical education program.
