David C. Tran is currently a physical education & health teacher at Alliance Margaret M. Bloomfield High school in Huntington Park, CA. In addition to teaching physical education, he is also the Blended Learning Facilitator for his site. As such his is responsible for helping fellow educators leverage technology to help students close the achievement gap. David started teaching in 2004 at Cal State LA after obtaining his degree in Kinesiology and since then, has taught every grade level (PK - 12).

CAHPERD Tech Camp This session is designed to provide practical applications in using technology. Whether you're in the gym, classroom, or outside, we will provide examples on incorporating tech into your activities. We will break down the tech and teach you how to build your own activities. Please make sure you bring your own phone, tablet, and laptop in order to maximize participation.
Ever been to a tech session where you learn about the latest in technology but aren’t shown how to use in it class? Never fear, this session is for you! We encourage you to bring your phones, tablets, and laptops to this session where you will move through various activities designed to incorporate tech. We will then switch gears and teach you how to develop your own activities, giving you step-by-step instruction on the technology presented.
This extended session will cover topics on such as apps, Google Drive, QR codes, webpage development, Augmented Reality, movie creation, Google Form Add-ons, and social media. We encourage you to have your device charged and download a few things before we start in order to maximize our learning time.
