What?……. I have to teach HEALTH!
Our Physical Education Standards along with the lack of Health Educators, we “are” asked to teach Health Related Fitness Content. My answer to this is “With Pleasure!!”. If you are teaching Physical Education, are you not teaching personal fitness? And if you are…..How can you do that and not teach HEALTH? How do you keep your students active and get health content to them?............. Answer is to reinvent your games. In addition to showing you some of my health games, we will look at how you can change some of your favorite games. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter what grade level you teach. If you are teaching Physical Education, teaching Health Related Fitness Content is what you are also doing.
