Aerobic Dance Workout

Dance Work Out fuses movement and music to create an invigorating, physically challenging and fun experience for every PE student. Class begins with warm-up choreography to wake up the body, focusing on specific muscles. Next follows high energy aerobic choreography designed to increase stamina and strengths. Class continues with upper body and abdominal strengthening and ends with stretching and relaxation.

Class begins with warm-up choreography to wake up the body, focusing on specific muscle groups. Next follows high energy aerobic choreography designed to increase stamina and strengths. Class continues with upper body and abdominal strengthening and ends with stretching and relaxation.
Each song contains 3-4 sets of simple choreography that repeats throughout the song. The movements are easy to learn yet fun to execute.
During this class we will learn the 5 choreographies by breaking them down first, followed by dancing the full song. Bring your video camera or phone to record either the instructor or yourself for your movement library. Handouts with related assignments and rubrics will be available.
You will not only leave the class with 5 dance work out choreographies designed for physical education students but with the tools to create your own choreographies for your favorite songs.
